Job description

A global biotech with multiple Phase I and Phase II programmes is seeking an Associate Vice President to support their clinical development. The company is one of the most well funded biotechs globally, with employees in 12 different countries and an estimated value of $5.1bn.

They need an AVP Clinical Development to support them for their upcoming pivotal trials. The location can be anywhere in Germany (German language is not required).

  • Lead the designing of clinical trial protocols, study endpoints, and patient selection criteria.
  • Some hands on work: Not the focus but you should not be afraid to support Medical Monitoring on Global Trials from time to time (its mostly handled however by the CRO and Medical Monitors).
  • Lead Critical Stop-Go Decisions and working alongside the other executive team to provide insights into overall strategy.
  • Support the operational aspects of clinical trials, including protocol development, investigator selection, medical and study monitoring.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of clinical trial-related documentation, such as INDs, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including translational research, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment of clinical strategies and efficient communication.

Qualifications:

  • MD degree needed.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of clinical trial oncology experience (industry, academic, CRO etc).
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of Trial Design Experience for Oncology Trials within a biotech or pharma setting.
  • Confidence in clinical trial design, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology and familiarity with emerging trends and advancements in the field.

If you are a motivated and dedicated medical professional with a passion for oncology and clinical research, we encourage you to apply for the role of Medical Director. Together, we can make significant strides in improving cancer treatment and patient care.
